St. Patrick's Day Accessories!

Boy, has 2014 flown by! It feels like just yesterday I was making my New Year's Style Resolutions and planning Valentine's Day outfits. This Monday is St. Patrick's Day, a day to celebrate the death of the most commonly recognized patron of saint of Ireland, Saint Patrick. The colour green and shamrocks have been associated with St. Patrick's Day as early as the 17th century and to this day, the tradition is still going strong. To take part in the festive fun and show off my style, each year I love to think of new ways to wear green on St. Patrick's Day. While an outfit that includes some element of green is a given, this year I began to think of different ways that green can be incorporated into my outfit and instantly thought of green accessories. Accessories are the cherry on the sundae of an outfit and with a touch of green on your St. Patty's Day uniform, you are sure to be right in the line with the green fashions on March 17th, where it is more than ok to wear the colour from head to toe.

Scroll down below to see some of my favourite green St. Patrick's Day inspired accessories and the outfits you can wear them with.

1. The Green Watch
Coloured face watches are a huge trend for spring so why not jump on the bandwagon and wear this watch from WATCH IT! with your St. Patrick's Day outfit. No matter how you to choose to incorporate green into your outfit that day, for example with a pair of olive green jeans and chic holographic aviator sunglasses, the rose gold metal and green shade of this watch is perfect for the joyous day.

2. The Green Sunglasses
With a sunny forecast expected for St. Patrick's Day this year, there is no doubt that you will need a pair of sunglasses to shield the sunlight while you enjoy the celebrations of the day. These sunglasses from WATCH IT! have a fun print that is reminiscent of sponge painting and a nice gold detail that enhances their chic factor.

3. The Green Shoes
In The Wizard of Oz, Dorothy had her ruby red slippers to take her home and if you wear these green and camo print booties from GUESS you will have them to take you to your St. Patrick's Day celebrations. Olive green functions as a neutral which is why it would work wonderfully with the ensemble up above. The pastel shades of the mint green blazer and soft pink handbag are on trend for spring and these are a perfect addition to the outfit.

4. The Green Earrings

Small, sparkly studded earrings are a simple way of adding a dose of glamour to any outfit whether you are attending a black tie event or just having dinner with the girls! If you wear these Hillberg and Berk green studded earrings on St. Patrick's Day, they will be like the sprinkles on the cupcake of your outfit.
