Amanda's Fashion Spot Oscars Red Carpet Fashion Favourites!

Award season has concluded and now it is time to admire the beautiful fashions that our favourite actresses wore on the Academy Awards red carpet. Not all of the actress that made the "Amanda's Fashion Spot Oscar Red Carpet Fashion Favourites" list won Oscar gold and some of these ladies were not even nominated, however it is their impeccable style that made them all winners this past Sunday night. After the glamorous gowns at the Golden Globes, the simple silhouettes and eye-catching colours of the SAG Awards and, the memorable red carpet looks from at the Grammys  the Oscars red carpet was more, shall I say elegant? Subdued? And let's not forget every bit fabulous!

Scroll down to see the looks!
Sandra Bullock in Alexander McQueen

One time Academy Award winner and two time Academy Award nominee, Sandra Bullock was every bit modern and glamorous on the red carpet. The pleated-like detail on the side of this Alexander McQueen gown alludes to a slit, similar to the silhouette of the emerald Lanvin dress Sandra wore to the SAG Awards. This navy gown however is more of a demure look in comparison to the aforementioned dress and has a more elegant look. Sandra's Old Hollywood cascading waves enhance the glam factor of her overall look.
Kelly Osbourne in Badgley Mischka

Co-host of E's Fashion Police and rockstar royalty, Kelly Osbourne lived up to her fashion commentaries in this simple white gown with embellished overlay by Badgley Mischka. Kelly's lavender hair complements the soft shades of her 1920's Old Hollywood gown and the soft waves are reminiscent of Hollywood actress Jean Harlow.
Naomi Watts in Calvin Klein Collection

I love the combination of edginess and glamour in Naomi Watts' overall look. The sequin fabrication of of her gown, the detail of her necklace and Art Deco vibe of her black and white clutch are all ingredients for a smashing look that is juxtaposed by the carefree messiness of her side swept hair.

Chrissy Teigen in Monique Lhuillier

In a few words, this Monique Lhuillier gown is feminine, youthful, modern and, fun. The soft pink petal print looks as if it is lightly floating on this dress with its high-low hem adding to the element of fun in the gown. Chrissy's tousled hair is on trend with the waves of the Academy Award red carpet that appeared on almost all the stars on Oscar night.

 Kate Hudson in Versace

Versace, versace, versace. Kate Hudson has come a long way from her bohemian, hippy-style days and  her red carpet looks have evolved into some serious glamourous looks, such as this emerald sequin Burberry Prorsum dress she wore a few years back. This white gown with its embellishment and train solidifies Kate as a glamorous red carpet style star and her simple accessories compliment the look wonderfully.
