Royal Wedding: Let's See The Dress!

We all know that one of the most anticipated parts of a wedding is the dress! Lovers of TLC's Say Yes to the Dress everywhere were giddy as ever in anticipation of what designer the Duchess of Cambridge would choose to create her Royal Wedding dress.

Now we all know that the Princess Bride had chosen to wear a traditional and feminine gown by Alexander McQueen's, Sarah Burton. Reminiscent of Grace Kelly's wedding dress, the beautiful gown utilized a lace bodice that was created with an Irish lace technique called Carickmacross that added a very classic touch to the pleated skirt which had a bustle-like detail at the back of the gown.

The overall silhouette of the timeless wedding gown was simple and chic being put together by hand by Sarah Burton, with the slim A-line skirt having built-in padded hips that emphasized her slim waist. The delicate veil was made of silk tulle and was trimmed with hand embroidered flowers that created a picturesque look that complemented the gown beautifully.

Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton had her sister and senior lady-in-waiting, Pippa Middleton carry her train into the church which was over six feet long! As you can see the length of the train beautifully complements the pleating at back of the gown and has a structured yet diaphanous quality. Lovely!
